Several dentists, executives, DSOs and dental companies have been honored for excellence in the dental industry in the last two months.
Nine updates:
1. Colorado Springs, Colo.-based Peak Dental Services' Amber Collins was included on Onconference's "Top 50 COO" list for 2022.
2. Anibal Diogenes, DDS, PhD, became the first dentist to be named a Piper professor by the Minnie Stevens Piper Foundation.
3. Overjet was the only dental company named on Forbes' "AI 50 2022" list.
4. SmileDirectClub was given the Best Telehealth Platform Award by MedTech Breakthrough, an independent market intelligence organization.
5. Ghali Ghali, DDS, MD, was given the Distinguished Service Award from the Louisiana Dental Association.
6. Julie Frantsve-Hawley, PhD, executive director of the Aspen Group's Oral Care Center for Excellence, was given the Presidential Award from the American Association of Public Health Dentistry.
7. Bob Fontana, founder and CEO of Chicago-based Aspen Dental, was included on CEO Forum Group's "Top 10 CEOs Transforming Healthcare in America" list.
8. Six dental companies ranked among the fastest-growing private companies in the U.S. by Inc. magazine for 2022.
9. Douglas Peterson, DMD, became the first person with a dental degree to be named a fellow of the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
