Oral health brand Colgate is partnering with Walmart to spread awareness of its new recyclable toothpaste packaging and to bring mobile dental clinics to the retailer's locations nationwide.
Colgate debuted its recyclable packaging in February as part of a pilot program and has made the product available in select Walmart stores nationwide. The new packaging is featured in select tubes of Colgate's Optic White Advanced Sparkling White, Cavity Protection, Max Fresh Cool, and Total Whitening toothpastes, but the company said it will transition all their tubes into recyclable packaging by 2023.
The company will also bring its Bright Smiles, Bright Futures mobile dental vans to visit 75 Walmart locations nationwide, according to a May 4 news release. The mobile clinics will have a team of dentists and hygienists that will offer free dental screenings for children, distribute free oral health products and educate local communities about the importance of recycling.
Store visits will begin May 1 in Coral Springs, Fla., and will end May 28 in Morrisville, N.C.
