The Kansas City University College of Dental Medicine in Joplin, Mo., received a $3 million donation from the Joplin Regional Medical School Alliance, The Joplin Globe reported April 29.
The Joplin Regional Medical School Alliance, a nonprofit organization consisting of medical and community leaders, donated $5 million to KCU College of Dental Medicine in June 2021. The alliance also plans to donate another $2 million to the college, according to The Joplin Globe.
In February, KCU College of Dental Medicine earned initial accreditation status from the Commission on Dental Accreditation.
The college will begin accepting applicants in June. At full enrollment, the college will have 320 dental students in the four-year program.
