Several dental companies have announced partnerships to expand services and launch new products.
Seven recent dentistry partnerships:
1. Dental supplier Dentsply Sirona is partnering with the FDI World Dental Federation and oral health nonprofit Smile Train to develop digital resources to support patients with clefts. Dentsply Sirona is also partnering with Google Cloud to develop digital dentistry solutions for practices, including digital workflows, 3D imaging and data protection.
2. Teledentistry company SmileDirectClub partnered with dental supplier Carestream Dental as its provider of intraoral scanners.
3. 3D printing company 3D Systems and Swiss supplier Saremco Dental AG are collaborating on the development of new 3D printing materials for dental procedures.
4. Teledentistry company Dentulu is partnering with television consumer engagement company Independa to offer virtual dental services to patients through their TVs.
5. Lansdale, Pa.-based Dudhat Dental Group partnered with Candid to offer clear aligner therapy at its 29 locations.
6. UnitedHealthcare Dental partnered with Quip to offer members a 30 percent discount on Quip's smart electric toothbrushes and product bundles.
