High Point (N.C.) University's dental school will be one of four of the university's new academic schools to share $100 million in recent philanthropic gifts, High Point said March 10.
Three gifts totaling $100 million have been donated in the last 30 days, High Point's President Nido Quebin said, and will be used for new schools of dentistry, law, optometry and nursing.
The university announced the launch of its dental school in May 2021 as a $150 million investment to create the state's third dental program. Mr. Qubein said he expects the school to open with 32 students and eventually grow to 180 students.
