- American Dental Association President Cesar Sabates, DDS, and Executive Director Raymond Cohlmia, DDS, wrote a letter to the National Toxicology Program asking it to ensure statements made in its upcoming fluoride report are based on scientific evidence.
- Awab Abdulmajeed, DDS, was named director of the international dentist program at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in Richmond.
- Stephen Skoly, DMD, filed a lawsuit against Rhode Island after he was ordered to stop seeing patients for defying the state's vaccination mandate for healthcare workers.
- Phillip Jensen, DMD, is facing an indictment from the Justice Department over allegations that he tampered with drugs administered to patients.
- James Orrington II, DDS, of Chatham Dental Care in Chicago, filed a defamation lawsuit Feb. 4 against insurance company Humana.
