The Access Dodgeville (Wis.) Dental Clinic will expand its care after the city received a $250,000 grant from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation.
The clinic, a member of Madison-based Access Community Health Centers, began serving patients in 2009.
The expansion will allow the clinic to treat an additional 1,500 to 2,000 patients annually. It currently supports about 4,000 patients annually, many of whom are underserved, underinsured and low income.
The city will use the grant to expand the clinic to the second floor of the building in which it operates. It will also give the clinic four additional dental operatories, an elevator installation and an updated HVAC system.
