Foothill Ranch, Calif.-based dental laser company Biolase has launched a continuing education program for dental hygienists using its diode lasers.
The Epic Hygiene Academy will provide additional training on laser dentistry for improved patient care, the company said Nov. 4.
"We are committed to enabling hygienists to deliver the highest quality of care, ultimately elevating the dental industry as a whole," said John Beaver, president and CEO of Biolase. "The program is designed to be a resource for dental hygienists with the most current and relevant technologies that they can use to provide quality care."
The program will be led by dental hygienist Valerie Dangler, Biolase's director of hygiene education and special markets.
Biolase also donated an Epic Hygiene laser and training opportunities to Greenville (S.C.) Technical College's dental hygiene program.
