American Dental Association President Cesar Sabates, DDS, has launched a branding campaign to showcase the organization's diversity.
The campaign, A New Day for Dentistry, honors the backgrounds of ADA members, including age, careers stages and practice paths, the organization said Oct. 14.
The campaign was launched Oct. 13 at the organization's annual SmileCon meeting with a YouTube video celebrating ADA members.
The ADA said the campaign emphasizes its commitment to meeting dentists' needs, showcasing unique voices and perspectives during panels and discussions, and recognizing dentists pushing dentistry forward.
"I want the ADA to be a welcoming and loving community for all of its members," Dr. Sabates said. "Everyone's voices, contributions and perspectives matter. When we unite on the common ground of our passion and purpose, we are primed to build our profession's future together. That's the central idea behind the campaign — that a new day for dentistry starts now, and there's a place for everyone in it."
