- Allen Sclaroff, DDS, a professor of clinical otolaryngology at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, died Aug. 18.
- Edwin Michael Thomas, DDS, co-founder and former president of the American Academy of Dental Group Practice, died Aug. 29 at the age of 99.
- Robert Coleman Westcott, DDS, former president of New York state's dental association, died Sept. 2.
- Normund Auzins, DDS, owner of Columbia Oral Surgery and Implants, affiliated his practice with U.S. Oral Surgery Management, an Irving, Texas-based management services company.
- Roshan Parikh, DDS, Walmart's former head of dentistry, joined clear aligner company Candid as a clinical growth ambassador.
- Todd Schoenbaum, DDS, professor in the department of restorative sciences for the Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University, launched Dentistry Review, a international, open-access and peer-reviewed journal.
