Robert Coleman Westcott, DDS, former president of New York's dental association, died Sept. 2.
The Queensbury, N.Y.-based dentist earned his dental degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia, according to his obituary. He established a dental practice in Glens Falls, N.Y., after serving four years in the U.S. Navy Dental Corps.
He also served on the board of Glens Falls Hospital for 20 years and started a dental van to provide care in rural areas before becoming president of the then Dental Society of the State of New York.
Dr. Westcott is survived by his wife, five children, 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
