Paul Mullasseril, DDS, was named dean of the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry In Oklahoma City Sept. 2, pending approval of its board of regents.
Dr. Mullasseril will be the school's fifth dean, replacing Raymond Cohlmia, DDS, who was named executive director of the American Dental Association in May.
Dr. Mullasseril is an assistant dean for clinical and preclinical education at the school and the director of its faculty practice clinic. He was president of the Oklahoma Dental Association from 2020 to 2021.
He earned his dental degree at the University of Bombay in India and completed postdoctoral training in maxillofacial prosthetics at the University of Oklahoma. He then completed a fellowship at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
