Penn Dental Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia named Michael Glick, DMD, as director of the school's new Center for Integrative Global Oral Health.
Dr. Glick is currently a professor of clinical restorative dentistry in the school's department of preventive and restorative sciences, according to an Aug. 10 Almanac article.
The center was launched in June with a $5 million donation from alumnus Garry Rayant, DDS, and his wife, Kathy Fields, MD.
Dr. Glick has served in multiple academic roles at other institutions, including the University at Buffalo (N.Y.) School of Dental Medicine, the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health at A.T. Still University in Mesa and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark. He was also editor-in-chief of the Journal of the American Dental Association from 2005 to 2020.
Dr. Glick earned his dental degree at the Hebrew University-Hadassah School of Dental Medicine in Israel and the Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry in Philadelphia. He completed his residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and specialty training at Penn Dental Medicine.
