Dental companies have been making big moves this year to expand their services and presence in the U.S.
Here are 15 acquisitions that have taken place so far this year:
- Dental supply company Benco Dental acquired ADI Mobile Health last month as an addition to the company's client support services.
- Teledentistry platform Dentulu acquired AI-powered oral health company Robohealer AI in April.
- Private equity firm The Jordan Company will acquire Dental365 in a transaction that is expected to be completed this August.
- Earlier this month, Onsite Dental acquired mobile dental firm Henry The Dentist, adding to the DSO's services and its mission of expanding oral health access.
- Simply Beautiful Smiles acquired Olin Dental Group, a dental practice based in Rahway, N.J.
- In June, eAssist Dental Solutions acquired multiple coding services publications to add to its list of offerings for dental practices.
- iSmile Dental Products acquired Union City, N.J.-based Dental Savings International.
- Henry Schein acquired a 70 percent ownership position in eAssist Dental Solutions in June. In May, the company also acquired an 80 percent ownership position in software company Jarvis Analytics.
- Overjet acquired American Dental Examiners, combining the company's artificial intelligence services with dental claim reviews.
- Vyne Dental acquired dental communication company Operability and its patient engagement platform, OperaDDS.
- National Dentex Labs acquired Dental Services Group in April, allowing the two companies to support nearly 4,000 employees and serve more than 50,000 customers across North America.
- In March, Dental Intelligence acquired communication management system developer Modento.
- Deca Dental Group acquired Seattle-based DSO Reign Dental, expanding the organization into its third state.
- In January, The Dentist Entrepreneur Organization acquired DSO Secrets, including the company's podcast and Facebook group.
