Roshan Parikh, DDS, Walmart's head of dentistry, left the company to pursue other opportunities, according to a Business Insider report.
Dr. Parikh's website confirmed he stepped away from Walmart Health.
"After the successful completion of building a scalable model and plan for Walmart Health, Dr. [Parikh] recently stepped away to pursue other ventures, including consulting and advisory work for the healthcare industry at larger," states his website.
While at Walmart, Dr. Parikh oversaw dental services as the company expanded locations. In 2020, Walmart Health opened 12 centers in three states.
Prior to joining Walmart, Dr. Parikh founded DSO Strategy, a dental consulting firm to help dentists grow their practices into dental service organizations. He also spent time advising private equity funds and banks.
Dr. Parikh began his career in Chicago, growing a three-employee group into a network of more than 25 multispecialty practices with nearly 100 dentists and dental specialists.
