A nationally representative survey of more than 1,000 U.S. adults showed 93% of Americans plan to visit their dentist this year, according to results published March 18 by Delta Dental Plans Association.
The oral health and wellness survey was conducted between Dec. 28, 2020, and Jan. 8, 2021.
Two more survey findings:
1. The majority of respondents, 90 percent, believe maintaining oral health is essential to protecting their overall health.
2. Seventy-two percent of Americans said they're paying more attention to their oral health habits due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
