The Michigan Periodontal Association recently elected Allan Padbury Jr., DDS, president, Mlive.com reported March 6.
Dr. Padbury will complete a two-year term after serving as vice president of the organization for the past two years.
Since 2002, he has led Jackson, Mich.-based Padbury Periodontics and Implant Dentistry, which has served the community for more than 40 years. In February, the practice's staff were credited with saving a patient's life after she failed to show up for an appointment.
Dr. Padbury is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and past-president of the Jackson District Dental Society, according to his website.
He began his term as Michigan Periodontal Association president on Jan. 30.
