Former California Dental Association President Charles Wilson, DDS, died Dec. 23 at 96, according to a Jan. 14 announcement from the organization.
Dr. Wilson served as president of CDA from 1971-72, the announcement said. During that time, Northern and Southern California became one membership organization. In his 45-year career, he also held positions as CDA speaker of the house of delegates, vice president of the American Dental Association and was on the National Board of Dental Examiners.
"Fortunately, there are some members of our profession that truly make it better with their dedication and energy; Charlie Wilson was certainly one who did," CDA member Henrick Hansen, DDS, said in the announcement. "He will be remembered with love by those fortunate enough to have known him."
