The American Dental Association's House of Delegates determined its president-elect and second vice president Oct. 19.
Cesar Sabates, DDS, of Coral Gables, Fla., was voted president-elect. Dr. Sabates has previously served as president of the Florida Dental Association and South Florida District Dental Association. The president-elect received his dental degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry and is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, Hispanic Dental Association, American College of Dentists, International College of Dentists and Pierre Fauchard Academy.
Maria Maranga, DDS, of Aquebogue, N.Y., was voted second vice president. Dr. Maranga has served as a president of the New York State Association of Endodontists and academic affairs director of the American Association of Women Dentists. She earned a dental degree from New York University College of Dentistry, based in New York City. Dr. Maranga is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, American Association of Women Dentists, American College of Dentists, International College of Dentists and Pierre Fauchard Academy.
