Chad Gehani, DDS, addressed the American Dental Association's House of Delegates Oct. 15, reflecting on his year of service as ADA president.
"I stand here before you with enormous pride in our profession for what it has done and continues to do in the face of the pandemic," Dr. Gehani said.
The ADA president reflected on the organization's pandemic response, highlighting the 4.5 million 3M KN95 masks and 1.8 million gowns obtained from the national stockpile.
He also urged the industry to "continue to embrace our diversity without regard to the race, ethnicity and gender of any dentist."
"We are living in transformative times," Dr. Gehani said. "The entire world is changing, and our profession is changing with it. With change comes the opportunity for success."
