The American Dental Association is urging Medicaid and Children's Health Insurance Program providers to apply for HHS relief funding before the July 20 deadline.
The HHS announced June 9 that eligible Medicaid and CHIP dental providers could use its online portal to apply for relief fund payments. The HHS will provide at least 2 percent of each provider's reported revenue from patient care.
HHS has signified a future dental distribution fund is being developed, but the department's FAQs state that dental providers should apply for relief fund payments during the first round they are eligible and not assume there will be an advantage in applying to one fund over another.
