Salina, Kan.-based New Horizons Dental Care is encouraging local high school and college students to apply for a scholarship to the Leadership and Educational Advancement Program Week, according to KSAL.
New Horizons will be covering the $449 attendance fee for LEAP Week, a youth leadership program featuring talks from celebrities, business executives, TED speakers and philanthropists. The program, which will run from June 20-24, also includes workshops on goal setting, time management, interviewing, job hunting and mentorship.
"For years we have been able to send two students per year on full scholarship to the UCLA campus for a summer program called LEAP Week. This year, because of the need for a virtual campus, we have the opportunity to send many more," Guy Gross, DDS, who owns New Horizons with his wife, Kate Gross, DDS, told KSAL.
