One Georgia dentist detailed financial challenges and difficulty obtaining personal protective equipment as her practice reopens, WTOC reports.
Ann Linton, DDS, said her practice, Savannah, Ga.-based Abercorn Family Dentistry, was open for emergency patients amid the pandemic, but has had to implement many changes to fully reopen.
Dr. Linton said finding necessary protective equipment has been difficult. Supplies must be obtained for both staff and patients, but are often back-ordered. Supply prices have also "skyrocketed," Dr. Linton told WTOC.
"It's going to be a challenge to go back to somewhat normal to see patients and produce at the level we were producing before, just because of the lack of equipment," Dr. Linton said.
