The mobile dental care unit of Los Angeles-based QueensCare has been converted into an emergency room, according to NBC Los Angeles.
The mobile unit has been parked at Adventist Health White Memorial's campus to serve as an extension of the emergency room for non-COVID-19 patients. With 960-square-feet, the dental unit is equipped with six exam chairs and the ability to perform X-rays.
Both QueensCare and Adventist Health employees will staff the mobile unit.
Typically, the QueensCare "Whitening McQueen" dental unit provides dental exams to uninsured and low-income communities in Los Angeles.
