The American Dental Association has compiled data from the CDC, World Health Organization and Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins University so dentists can track COVID-19 cases, both in the U.S. and worldwide.
The CDC counts both confirmed and presumptive positive COVID-19 cases reported to the CDC or tested at the CDC, with the exception of U.S. evacuees from Wuhan, China, and American passengers from the Diamond Princess cruise ship. The CDC updates its website Monday through Friday with data reported as of 4 p.m. the previous day.
WHO reports official counts of confirmed COVID-19 cases worldwide.
Johns Hopkins uses data from the CDC, WHO, European Center for Disease Prevention and Control, National Health Commission of the People's Republic of China, media reports, local health departments, and the online healthcare community DXY. The data is updated multiple times a day.
The ADA site also includes a list of countries and territories reporting COVID-19 cases.
The compilation page will be updated Monday through Friday in the afternoon.
