The Wyoming Supreme Court demanded a local dentist pay around $14,000 after the state bar association found that he wrongfully practiced law, according to Bloomberg Law.
Investigators claimed that Clyde Stock, DDS, instructed and prepared a trust for an elderly couple. In the trust, Dr. Stock was listed as a trustee. The state bar counsel alleged Dr. Stock had preyed on the couple, who were old and sick, reports Bloomberg Law.
In a default judgement, Dr. Stock was found to have wrongfully practiced law on at least four occasions for the elderly couple, preparing trusts, transferring a deed and as general power of attorney.
The bar counsel recommended Dr. Stock agree to never engage in the unauthorized practice of law and pay restitution and fines. The Wyoming Supreme Court agreed, requiring Dr. Stock to pay $4,000 in fines as well as more than $10,000 in restitution.
