Mark King, DMD, owner of a Georgetown, Ky.-based periodontal and implant practice, said he hopes the donation will help affected people and animals find refuge, according to WTVQ-DT. Officials say the fires have claimed the lives of at least 24 people and millions of animals.

“We may never see anybody directly or anything, but hopefully we make some kind of a change,” Dr. King said.
