Provo, Utah-based Curve Dental, a dental software provider, upgraded its cloud platform so dentists can send a new prescription or renewal to pharmacies from any digital device, according to a Nov. 19 news release.
In a partnership with DrFirst, Curve's cloud-based dental practice management platform can help manage electronic prescriptions, write and send prescriptions and ensure compliance with specific state regulations.
The platform also displays commonly prescribed medications based on historical prescribing behaviors, reducing the need to search for drugs and human error.
"We are committed to doing our part to address the country's opioid epidemic and feel that our solution will help dentists do their part," Gary Long, Curve's chief revenue officer, said in the news release.
