Benco Dental Supply Co. and Patterson Companies have decided not to appeal a judge's decision that they violated U.S. antitrust law, according to a Nov. 8 news release from the Federal Trade Commission.
In February, the FTC accused the dental distribution companies, along with Henry Shein, of conspiring against providing discounts to buying groups. The judge later dismissed the charges against Henry Schein.
A judge publicly ruled Oct. 15 that Benco and Patterson did violate antitrust laws, a decision that has become final because neither party filed a notice of appeal.
