Delta Dental of Wisconsin announced Nov. 5 that it has appointed Doug Ballweg to serve as president and CEO, effective Nov. 2.
Mr. Ballweg replaces Dennis Peterson, who retired after more than 41 years at Delta Dental. Mr. Peterson now serves as the president of the Delta Dental of Wisconsin Foundation.
In August 2010, Mr. Ballweg joined Delta Dental as vice president of finance and CFO. He was then promoted to COO of the company.
Prior to joining Delta Dental, Mr. Ballweg was a partner with Strohm Ballweg for 11 years. He has worked with other public accounting firms and served in consulting roles for Delta Dental of Wisconsin since 1990.
