The American Dental Association and more than 50 organizations announced their support of the White House's plan to remove all non-tobacco flavored e-cigarettes from the market in a Sept. 24 letter.
The coalition, led by Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids, wrote that the ban of flavored e-cigarettes, including mint and menthol flavors, "will play a critical role in reversing the youth e-cigarette epidemic." The coalition also asked the White House not to weaken the proposal, calling e-cigarette use among U.S. kids "a public health crisis."
"We strongly support [the Trump administration’s] proposal to swiftly remove all non-tobacco flavored e-cigarettes from the marketplace and urge you to move forward to implement this proposal without delay," the coalition wrote.
