Coon Rapids, Minn.-based Apple Treat Dental has teamed up with Mayo Clinic Health System in Fairmont (Minn.) to improve patients' access to dental care, according to local news station KEYC.
The Schmeeckle Foundation is supporting the partnerships with more than $2 million in donations.
Apple Tree Dental is a nonprofit, community clinic that provides dental visits and screenings to nearly 96,000 Minnesota residents.
With the funding and the partnership, Apple Tree Dental aims to open its eighth dental office in Fairmont sometime in 2021.
"We identified 21,000 people in Fairmont, in Martin County and in the surrounding counties that have public benefits for dental care but who never even got one dental visit last year," Apple Dental Tree CEO Michael Helgeson, DDS, said in a statement.
