Plantation, Fla.-based Kid's Dental Place has been closed due to an explosion that destroyed the surrounding area on July 5, according to CBS12.
Investigators are still working to determine the cause and location of the explosion. TECO People's Gas said a ruptured gas line was discovered near the area of the blast, but none of their gas lines leading into the shopping plaza have been ruptured.
One person at a nearby pizza restaurant called the gas company prior to the explosion to report the smell of gas. TECO People's Gas said that was the online call they received and were in the processes of sending a technician to the scene.
Kid's Dental Place is seeing patients at its other locations. City officials on July 8 gave approval for businesses near the explosion to open again.
