Danaher Corp. announced June 27 that it will create a new entity that will comprise three operating companies with its dental business.
Envista will position itself in the dental implants, orthodontics, dental equipment and consumables market. The operating companies within Envista are Nobel Biocare Systems, KaVo Kerr and Ormco.
Danaher's group executive for its dental segment, Amir Aghdaei, will serve as the president and CEO of Envista, which will employ 12,000 people worldwide.
Danaher plans to take Envista public in the second half of 2019.
