Investigators claim former Atlanta-based Carestream Dental employee Essence Boatwright used her access as an account manager to embezzle $85,000, according to the Marietta Daily Journal.
The lawsuit alleges Ms. Boatwright stole the $85,000 over a five-year period from 35 customers.
Ms. Boatwright allegedly used her login, and instead of transferring the refunds to customers, she deposited the money into her own checking account.
She faces computer theft and theft by taking felony charges and was released on a $93,000 bond.
