Lexington-based University of Kentucky and a former dentist and professor Raynor Mullins, DDS, settled ongoing litigation, according to The State.
Here are three things to know:
1. Dr. Mullins sued the university after claiming he was fired for publicly criticizing the state's Medicaid program overhaul proposal.
2. In the settlement, Dr. Mullins received $620,000 and is able to return to the university. University of Kentucky officials did not admit to turning away Dr. Mullins.
3. A joint statement indicated both parties' inclinations to resolve the litigation and move forward.
