Academy of General Dentistry names VP: 3 things to know about Dr. Bruce Cassis

The Academy of General Dentistry appointed Bruce L. Cassis, DDS, as its vice president, The Register-Herald reports.

Here are three things to know:

1. Dr. Cassis has more than 38 years of experience. He received his doctor of dental surgery degree from Morgantown-based West Virginia University School of Dentistry.

2. He practices general dentistry and hospital dentistry full-time at Fayetteville, W.Va.-based Cassis Dental Center.

3. In 1986, Dr. Cassis joined the Academy of General Dentistry, an association of 40,000 general dentists and dental students. He has held various leadership roles in the organization, serving as chair of the AGD Membership Council for the past two years.
