Cleveland Clinic brings dental & medical students together with $515M campus: 4 details

Cleveland Clinic and Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland will open a new $515 million health education campus in the summer of 2019, according to Cleveland.com.

Here are four details:

1. The 480,000-square-foot facility will bring 2,200 medical, dental, nursing and physician assistant students together, eliminating silos present.

2. The building will be called the Sheila and Eric Samson Pavilion. The Samsons are among the Clinics' largest donors. Details of the donation were not disclosed.

3. The dental clinic will be a three-story, 126,000 square-foot facility. It will feature updated equipment for students to learn about advanced treatment options.

4. As of July, Cleveland Clinic and Case Western Reserve University had raised $270 million out of the $515 million, including the Samsons' gift. The two institutions continue to participate in joint fundraising initiatives.
