Henry Schein and Internet Brands finalized their joint venture to form Henry Schein One, a new company designed to deliver integrated dental technology to improve management, marketing and communications.
Here are four insights:
1. Henry Schein One comprises Henry Schein Practice Solutions' products and Henry Schein's international dental practice management system. Additionally, the company includes Internet Brand's dental businesses.
2. The new company had pro-forma 2017 sales of about $400 million, $100 million of which came from the Internet Brands dental business.
3. Henry Schein expects to see between $20 million and $30 million in annual synergies after three years.
4. Financial terms of the joint venture were not disclosed.
"With the creation of Henry Schein One, we have advanced our dental business strategy by brining together leaders in dental software and web-based applications to build a powerful new engine that will enable dental professionals to be more efficient and to enhance their ability to deliver high-quality care to patients," said Henry Schein Chairman and CEO Stanley Bergman.
