Australian dentist Dr. David Carr of Smile Dental Care Double Bay was found guilty of aggravated indecent assault and common assault, according to WA Today.
Dr. Carr is regarded for treating celebrities such as Cate Blanchett and Michael Caton. His assault charges stem from a single victim, Dr. Carr's dental assistant. She also made claims to have Dr. Carr charged with two counts of aggravated indecency and one count of aggravated indecent assault; however, these charges were dismissed.
The dental assistant told investigators Dr. Carr tried to kiss her, tore open her scrubs and hit her in the behind. When Bupa, the healthcare organization that owns Smile Dental Care, heard of the allegations in 2017, they terminated his contract and referred him to the Health Care Complaints Commission.
Dr. Carr's sentencing is set to take place July 25.
