The American Dental Association signed a three year partnership with CVS, giving the ADA a continuous in-store and digital presence to promote oral and overall health.
Here are five things to know:
1. The agreement gives premium placement and promotion of dental products with the ADA Seal of Acceptance. CVS customers will also be provided oral health information.
2. Dental products that earn the ADA Seal of Acceptance have undergone extensive review of clinical and laboratory studies. The acceptance requirements are consistent with current ADA and American National Standards Institute-approved standards.
3. Additionally, CVS will support the ADA’s Find-A-Dentist too, an online search platform that allows patients to find ADA dentists in their area.
4. A series of programs will be rolled out in CVS stores, print and online, starting with a full-page ad in the Jan. 28, CVS circular announcing the partnership.
5. In March, CVS will begin promoting oral health information and ADA Seal products. CVS and ADA also plan to roll out seasonally-themed programs to promote health awareness months.
