Robert Gartler, DDS, a dentist in Amherst, N.Y., passed away at 92, according to The Buffalo News.
Here are four things to know:
1. In 1947, he earned his dental degree from the University of Buffalo (N.Y.) Dental School. He went on to practice in Amherst, where Dr. Gartler practiced for 50-plus years.
2. He was a captain in the Army Dental Corps at Fort Lee, Va., during the Korean War.
3. Dr. Gartler was a past president of the University of Buffalo Dental Alumni.
4. He was a member of the St. Apollonia Guild of Catholic Dentists, as well.
