2nd law firm launches investigation against Dentsply Sirona: 6 notes

A second law firm has launched an investigation against Dentsply Sirona after the company suspended the sales and marketing of its Byte aligners and impression kits.

Six notes:

1. Dentsply Sirona voluntarily suspended the sale and marketing of its Byte clear aligners and impression kits Oct. 24 as it conducts a review of regulatory requirements. It also paused shipment and processing of new and recently placed orders for Byte aligners and impression kits.

2. Byte said in an Oct. 25 notice posted on its website that it determined its patient onboarding workflow "may not provide adequate assurance that certain contraindicated patients do not enter treatment with Byte aligners." This conclusion came from a review of medical device reports related to its aligners and discussions with the FDA.

3. The Pomerantz law firm announced Nov. 1 that it is investigating claims on behalf of Dentsply Sirona's investors.

4. Pomerantz said the investigation concerns whether Dentsply Sirona and its officers or directors engaged in securities fraud or other unlawful business practices.

5. Investors were advised to contact one of the law firm's investor relations managers.

6. The Bronstein, Gewirtz & Grossman law firm also launched an investigation against Dentsply Sirona Oct. 31.
