1. SmileDirectClub saw a 19 percent drop in total revenue from the third to fourth quarter of 2022.
2. Jonas Gauthier, DDS, became the first dentist in Louisiana to offer robot-assisted dental implant surgery.
3. SprintRay launched Ceramic Crown, a 3D printing ecosystem that allows dentists to perform same-day, chairside ceramic dental restorations and implants.
4. ZimVie, Zimmer Biomet's spine and dental spinoff, introduced two new software modules within its digital dentistry software platform.
5. Biolase, a dental laser manufacturer, launched an educational website to better educate dental clinicians on the use of dental lasers.
6. Luiz Dos Santos, DMD, performed more than 150 dental implants in 90 days using the Yomi robot.
7. Allen Robinson, DDS, added the Yomi Robotic Dental System at his practice, making him the first in the Washington, D.C., region to use the robot.
8. The University of Alabama at Birmingham's oral oncology clinic is among the first in the Southeast to use augmented reality in head and neck cancer surgery.
9. The partnership between Planet DDS, a dental software company, and Premier Care Dental Management reached the 10 year mark.
