Ten percent of general dentists said they are referring more patients to specialists than before the pandemic began, according to the American Dental Association's latest COVID-19 economic impact survey.
In a survey conducted the week of July 12, general practice dentists were asked, "Compared to before the COVID-19 pandemic, are you referring more, fewer, or the same number of patients to specialists?"
Ten percent of respondents said "More," while 83 percent said "About the same," 6 percent said "Fewer," and 1 percent said "Not sure."
