California officials have approved a public health emergency waiver that allows dentists to administer COVID-19 vaccines to patients 16 and older, reports NBC's KNSD.
Approved by the California Department of Consumer Affairs, the waiver will help bolster vaccine administration resources.
Health officials said the state is working to include pharmacies and dental offices on the list of sites where the vaccine can be given.
