California has 54,580 dental assistants, the most out of any state, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
The agency released updated employment information for dental assistants to reflect 2024 information on April 2.
In total, there are 375,430 dental assistants in the U.S., 4,740 more compared to 2023.
