How DSO affiliation rates have changed in every state year-over-year

The percentage of DSO-affiliated dentists in the U.S. slightly increased in 2023 compared to 2022, according to data from the American Dental Association's Health Policy Institute. 

In 2023, 14% of dentists were affiliated with a DSO, a slight increase from 13% in 2022. 

Colorado, Georgia and Nevada were the states with the highest percentage of affiliated dentists in 2023 at 23%. In 2022, Nevada was the only state with 23% of dentists affiliated with a DSO.
