Oral and maxillofacial surgery is one of several physician specialties that saw the largest increase in average annual compensation between 2022 and 2023, according to Doximity's 2024 Physician Compensation Report.
Doximity developed its report using data from 150,000 compensation surveys completed over the last five years, as well as 33,000 physician compensation surveys completed between January and December 2023. The company surveyed full-time physicians in the U.S. who practice at least 40 hours per week.
