In 2020, the national Medicaid reimbursement rate was, on average, 60.9 percent of private insurance reimbursement for child dental services, according to new data released by the American Dental Association.
The ADA collected Medicaid fee-for-service reimbursement rate data from state Medicaid program web pages in December 2020. Ratios ranged widely by state, with the lowest reimbursement rate 27.8 percent in Minnesota and the highest 104.8 percent in Kentucky.
